Dr. Guillermo Cardona
Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. After living in the USA for a some years he went to U.D.C.A University to get his degree in Veterinary Medicine (MV), he did an externship in the Equine Clinic of the Colombian Military Cavarly Division, then he did an internship in equine medicine and surgery in the U.D.C.A University Hospital. He graduated on 2009 and worked as a vet for a race track in Villa de Leyva, Colombia. He also finished a Masters Degree in Veterinary Sciences with emphasis radiography. After working as a private consultant in Colombia, he decided to get his license as a DVM in the United States of America. Guillermo did an internship in Performance Equine Veterinary Services in Ocala from February 2016 thru the Summer of 2017 were he was able to apply and expand his knowledge about imaging, lameness and internal medicine. He has experience with Paso Fino horses, Thoroughbreds and evening horses. Right now he is an active member of the prestigious International Sociey of Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP); lameness, imaging, and surgery are his passion. He is always willing to learn and use the knowledge he has to benefit the horses’ health.
